GCPS Chromebook or Student Portal: Logging in for the first time this 2025-56 School Year
If this is the first time you are logging into your Chromebook OR Student Portal this 2025-26 School Year:
Grades 6-12:
Your password is your 8-digit DATE OF BIRTH (MMDDYYYY). For example, if your birthday is January 5, 2000, your initial portal password will be 01052000. You will be asked to change your password, and you will then be asked to choose two pictures for multi-factor authentication (MFA). Directions for setting up MFA . Going forward, you will be asked for your password and the two pictures you select during MFA setup to access the student portal.
If you do not know your password or your pictures, you will need to contact one of your teachers.
*If you are prompted to change your password, please choose one that is secure and easy to remember.
Grades K-5:
Username: Student ID
Password: Two Pictures
Your password is the same as it was last year.

How to Login to D2L
You will log into D2L via your student GCPS portal Learning Space.
- Go to the GCPS home page and click on Students in the upper right corner.
- Log in using your STUDENT NUMBER as your User ID and your portal password. (SEE DETAILS AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE if this is your first time logging in this school year)
- Click on the button on the right that says Gwinnett Online Campus (the one with the black GOC logo). This should take you directly into Brightspace. Click the 3x3 waffle at the top right to find your courses.

How to Access Live Meetings in Class Through D2L
- Go to the GCPS home page and click on Students in the upper right corner.

- Click on the button on the right that says Gwinnett Online Campus (the one with the black GOC logo). This should take you directly into Brightspace. Click the 3x3 waffle at the top right to find your courses.
- Once in a GOC course, click on the Class link to access your virtual session.

Go to the GCPS home page and click on Students in the upper right corner.
- Log in using your STUDENT NUMBER as your User ID and your portal password. (SEE DETAILS AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE if this is your first time logging in this school year)
- Under Additional Resources, click on Google Workspace for Education.
- Click Accept on the disclaimer page if you see it.
- You will initially see your Google Drive. Here, you can complete assignments for your courses. To get to your email, click on the 3x3 grid box in the upper right-hand corner. Then click the icon labeled Mail.
