Elementary School Counseling

The Elementary School Counselor provides a comprehensive counseling program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, supporting their academic, social-emotional, and career development. Services include individual counseling and advisement, small-group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons tailored to students' needs. The counselor also works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success and well-being.

LIVE counseling lessons are provided monthly to all K–5 students and cover a variety of social-emotional, academic, and career-focused topics designed to foster personal growth, resilience, and lifelong learning skills.

Pursuant to GA law [OCGA 19-7-5)(1)] school counselors are mandated reporters. If they suspect child abuse or neglect, they are mandated to contact the GA Department of Child Protective Services.
