Gwinnett Writes Assessment System
The purpose of the Gwinnett Writes assessment system is to assess student writing skills at various grade levels through their academic career. The students are assessed on their writing ability in language arts, science and social studies. The program provides opportunity for students to practice their skills of writing in the content area formatively throughout and complete a summative writing assessment during the spring semester.
Gwinnett Writes Assessment Dates
Grade 4 – Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Students in grades 9-12 currently enrolled in Lit and Comp I Semester 2 – Tuesday, March 17, 2026
Testing details will be communicated via email at a later date.
